It is quite rare in a city center to find a space the size of Sante Marguerite, in this case produced by the disappearance of old obsolete buildings. The project idea is, by applying urban parameters, to create a unitary project, with the private and public parts required in the competition program.

It is necessary to take this opportunity to include an urban and architectural offer of different character in the city of Tours. Diversity is one of the most precious qualities of cities.

A closer look at the context of Grammont Avenue, informs us about the high individual buildings already present on the site, which consequently modify the homogeneous section of Grammont in continuity with the Avenue Nationale. The spirit, good or bad, of the most expansive contemporaneity is already there.

Another fact that we get from this first careful look is the observation that the islet of Santa Margherita contains a heavy load of vegetation inside it.

It should also be noted, the singular presence, by its measure, of the Rue River that descends majestically to the Sports Pavilion, closing the road. The junction between Rivière Er Grammont produces a corner, a corner of great visual impact and that will become a singular point of our urban proposal.
