How to design a house in a cliff without having to regret it?
How not to damage the cliff and live on the slope?
For this place with somewhat extreme conditions to become comfortable without losing its bravery, we kept the maximum of rock.
Spaces are designed as large voids and interiors and exteriors are treated indiscriminately.
The difference is mostly in the shade. The rock, the basic material of the place, is present everywhere. The sea and the sky too.
The house is formed by two prisms that intersect at a specific point. These two prisms protect the emptiness of a patio. There, also appears, inside, the space in double height.
The new abstract forms built add, without interfering, to the figuralism of the cliff.
The exterior walls are cleaned and painted silver. The interiors are white. The floor coverings are in Roman travertine.
